Acceptance and Eligibility
By using ChurchTrades, users agree to these terms. Users must be old enough to use the service under applicable law and must have authority to create an account or participate on behalf of themselves or an organization where applicable.
Account Responsibility and Accurate Profiles
Users are responsible for their accounts, profile information, and activity. Profiles should be accurate, current, and respectful. ChurchTrades may rely on profile information to help churches and members identify trusted community connections.
Community Conduct and Prohibited Behaviour
Users must treat others with respect and must not harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, impersonate others, post unlawful content, interfere with the service, misuse contact information, or use ChurchTrades for spam, fraud, abuse, or unsafe activity.
Church Admins and Moderation
Church administrators may help manage community participation, directory visibility, church groups, member access, and reports. ChurchTrades may moderate, restrict, remove, or review accounts, profiles, posts, listings, or activity to protect users, churches, and the service.
Trades, Services, and Marketplace Activity
ChurchTrades may help members discover trades, services, goods, and marketplace activity. ChurchTrades does not guarantee or endorse any member, listing, service, trade, price, qualification, outcome, or transaction.
Users are responsible for checking licences, insurance, qualifications, references, safety, pricing, availability, and legal requirements before hiring, buying, selling, donating, or meeting.
Future Payments and Donations
Payment, donation, marketplace, or fundraising features may be added in the future. Additional terms may apply before those features are made available.
User Content and Intellectual Property
Users remain responsible for content they submit, including profile details, photos, listings, messages, and reports. Users must have the rights needed to share that content. ChurchTrades and its branding, design, software, and content are protected by intellectual property laws.
Suspension, Deletion, and Service Changes
ChurchTrades may suspend or delete accounts, remove content, limit access, or change, pause, or discontinue features when needed for safety, legal compliance, product development, operational reasons, or violations of these terms.
Disclaimers and Liability Limits
ChurchTrades is provided as available and without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every need. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ChurchTrades limits liability to reasonable direct damages and excludes indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and punitive damages.
Indemnity
Users agree to be responsible for claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from their misuse of ChurchTrades, violation of these terms, unlawful conduct, user content, or interactions with other users.
Ontario and Canadian Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules. Courts located in Ontario will have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
