Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ChurchTrades handles information for the public website and the ChurchTrades mobile app as it is developed for church communities.

Information Users Provide

Users may provide information such as name, email address, phone number, church affiliation, profile photo, occupation, trades, services, goods, skills, ministry interests, and other profile details. Users may also contact ChurchTrades with support requests, privacy questions, safety reports, or account deletion requests.

Automatic Technical Information

ChurchTrades may collect technical information such as device type, app version, browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from technical signals, dates and times of use, pages or screens viewed, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How Information Is Used

ChurchTrades uses information to operate the service, help members find and connect with their church community, maintain profiles and directories, respond to support requests, improve reliability, prevent misuse, protect safety, and communicate important updates.

ChurchTrades does not sell users' personal information.

Profile Visibility Within Church Communities

Profile information may be visible to other approved members, church administrators, or community participants within a selected church or church-related group. Visibility may depend on app settings, church participation, moderation decisions, and future product features.

Sharing and Service Providers

ChurchTrades may share information with service providers that help operate, host, secure, deliver, or improve the service. These may include Firebase, Google services, Apple services where enabled, and Vercel. Information may also be shared when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate misuse, or with a user's direction or consent.

Data Retention

ChurchTrades keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and support legitimate operational needs. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.

Security

ChurchTrades uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, and users should avoid sending passwords or highly sensitive information by email.

Children Under 13

ChurchTrades is not intended for children under 13. If ChurchTrades learns that it has collected personal information from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

International Processing

Information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other locations where ChurchTrades or its service providers operate. Privacy and data protection laws may differ from those in a user's location.

User Choices and Account Deletion

Users may update profile information in the app where available or request help by email. Account deletion requests can be made through the app when available or by emailing support@churchtrades.com.

Policy Changes

ChurchTrades may update this policy as the service develops. The Last updated date will show when the policy was most recently changed.
